Recovery Time at Home

Well I haven't updated in a long time! I had surgery last Wednesday to have my gallbladder removed, so I am recovering at home. This gives me some scrapping time, even though I'm feeling like I should be cleaning my house! I did some wedding layouts today.

We had a great Thanksgiving at Anne's house. I took some family photos outside by her neighbor's beautiful tree. I love how they came out. Then the girls wanted to do some jumping photos! The first one is really blurry, but it's one of my favorites. They look so happy!

We even got the boys/dads to jump!

Love the last one! Great trick girls!!!!!!!!

We also went to the Sacramento Zoo so Katie could do research for her anthropology class. Some of my favorite shots from the zoo.....

Winery Visits

Today we went to visit a few local wineries to check out locations for Jodi's wedding next fall. We had a great time, and it was a beautiful day. We are so looking forward to next fall when Tim and Jodi tie the knot. The wineries we went to were beautiful. Jodi packed a nice picnic lunch for us and we bought and tasted lots of wine.

Last Scrappy Day for awhile.....

Of course, it's because school starts this Thursday!! Today I am spending the whole day scrapping. I started out the morning with an online class from Kim Watson of CK. Pretty cool that she is in South Africa teaching an online tag class. I made these.

On one of the tags I covered chipboard with Washi tape and I had never done that before. Well, it got my wheels turning and I wanted to cover all my chipboard with the cute Washi tape! Here's a frame I made.
and here's the layout I made using two of the frames. I used the Amy Tangerine sketchbook line for the layout.

I also did a layout for a game we play called Chinese Whispers, which is like Telephone when we were little. I can't show you that layout yet, because it hasn't been revealed. Now I have a little catching up with the Scrapbook Olympics that we are playing. Not sure how much scrapping will get done once school starts. Thanks for looking!

CK Summer Camp

This week is CK's annual scrapbooking summer camp. I've been scrapbooking some vacation photos for the challenges. I took 800 photos in Hawaii, but only had 300 printed. Yikes. I took over 500 at Disneyland and San Diego, so I have tons to choose from! Here are a few layouts.

I was so happy to finish my Seattle scrapbook from our trip in February. Here are a few double pages that I added to that one.

It's so nice to be home, but only three more weeks until school starts! I have jury duty next week, so I'm hoping not to get on a trial so I have some summer vacation left. Wish me luck!

Summer Mini Album

I wanted to make an album similar to December Daily for summer. EP and Doodlebug supplies were perfect for this. I found the chipboard album while cleaning my scraproom.

Summer Vacation

We just got back from our first road trip! We spent time in Hollywood, Anaheim, and San Diego. Here are a few layouts I did since I've been home. The first one was for CK's hourly challenge to alter letters. I used cardstock letters and inked them with three different colors.

It is my week to host the weekly challenge at CK, so I did a recipe challenge. I hope you can play along! Here is my layout for that.

I turned it into a double page layout. That will teach us to go the first week a new ride opens!

Here are a few more double page layouts I did yesterday. I used the Super Sketch Club layouts from Scrapbook Generations. I love that club, so glad I joined.

I also did Ashley's sketch challenge for June, nothing like waiting until the last week.

I really miss this beautiful cat that we had for four days. We almost got a kitty, but we were going on too many trips this summer to be able to take care of it. Maybe in the fall.

The rest of my summer I plan on reading, scrapbooking, and cleaning out some cupboards in my house. Have a great summer everyone.

More Seattle Layouts

I am so glad that I joined the Super Sketch Club by Scrapbook Generations. I take a lot of photos when I travel, and this is the perfect way to showcase them.
